Wal-Mart...Ugh

I went to Wal-Mart today because I needed to get a couple of new tires for my car. Each wheel was a mere $45, which is such a great price. But is it such a great price?

I don't really like to go to Wal-Mart, neither do I like its lack of aesthetics and how that lack of aesthetics seems to perforate all of America. I understand that Wal-Mart does a few good things for our society, such as offering jobs to hundreds of thousands of people and providing edible nourishment for a low price, but it still pains me to do my business there.

Since I was going to have to wait for about 45 minutes, I figured I would kill some time by walking around the store to check out some of its goods. I did this for about two and a half minutes ere I became bored. So I called my mom, and we talked for a few minutes. I miss my mom; she's so crazy but so lovable at the same time.

After a while, I decided I ought to buy something cheap so it wouldn't look like I was trying to steal something when I walked out of the store with just my messenger bag on my back. I bought this bottled Godiva French vanilla latte. It sort of tasted like a glorified Yoo-Hoo. So I sat on one of the benches outside the entrance —you know, the ones upon which you always see weird people sitting and then resolve to yourself that you will never sit upon such a thing — and drank it.

Glorified Yoo-Hoo...ha ha. I paid $1.48 for a Yoo-Hoo.

I walked by a Wal-Mart bench today after reading this, and tried to picture you sitting next to the old man with dirty fingernails.... He was happy to have you there.
